So the question you gotta ask is did this person betray you or did they betray your ego (the devil inside us all) well then that's Jesus inside all of us isn't it. sin something is narcissistic.. If you betray me once, it's an event, an experience which absolutely affects how I see you. External to me. Outside of me. But, if you betray me, repeated, abuse me, traumatise me, deceive me, repeated, it affects how I SEE MYSELF. Internal, of me. Part of me. This is the insidious, less obvious cruelty of repeated experiences. The person or persons may have left your life completely. The offender may have been penalised or punished. But you can still carry this scars for a long time. Once off is an event, an external, which happens TO ME. Repeated becomes a part OF ME.

JP is probably how Dennis Hopper's photojournalist character in Apocalypse Now might have been if he hadn't dropped loads of acid.

Its fairly easy to say the creation tablets are meta stories. I've personally speculated that its all ancient metaphor for our Solar system's cosmic origins (Pre-Genesis) with Marduk being an invading Planet (Nibiru, Planet X etc;) and Tiamat being the ancient giant waterworld with no land and their "battle" being fought changed our entire Solar system into what it is now via Planet, comet, moon collisions, impacts and gravity creating chaos before Marduk smashed Tiamat into pieces, giving us our modern Planet Earth, depositing a new Moon left over from Marduk and the debris field slowly accumulated into our asteroid belts and annual meteor showers over the billions of years. Ironically the Sumerian Tablets mentioned that Tiamat had Dragons and Sea Serpents for "Children" couldve possibly been explaining the life that existed on Tiamat before destruction, also sounds an awful lot like "Dinosaurs".

The interesting thing about his point is Michelle Obama shares a very similar anecdote about her career as a lawyer: long hours, not needing the money, and then saying she’s never defined herself by her career. Also, having fertility issues. In this, I think Peterson knows what he’s talking about.

My process of geting tover betrayal is to dwell on it mindfully until it's understood and the betrayal becomes benign. Feel your emotions, don't attempt to force them out of your head or impose your own meaning on them. Forgive the person or don't, but tire your brain out about it until the thoughts of betrayal cease to be a dominant one.

I really like Jordan Petersons lectures and talks. I really do. However, he seems to have a misunderstanding of Buddhism, letting go of attachment and desires. He appears to have fallen into the same trap as Jung when trying to understand Eastern Philosophies. They both approach in their attempts to understand these ideas by using their ego, or possibly to use a better term, the concept of themselves, and therefore get further and further away by overthinking and over analysing. So, Buddhism works this way. Buddha said, 'If you suffer, you suffer because you desire, and your desires are either unattainable or always being disappointed or something. So cut out desire.' So, those disciples went away, and they stamped on desire, jumped on desire, cut the throat of desire, and threw out desire. But then they came back, and Buddha said, 'But you are still desiring not to desire. How do you get rid of that?' So when you see that, that's nonsense, there naturally comes over you a quietness. And seeing that you cannot control your mind, you realize there is no controller. What you took to be the thinker of thoughts is just one of the thoughts; what you took to be the feeler of the feelings, which could be some chronic muscular strain, is just one of the feelings; what you took to be the experience of experience is just part of the experience. So, there isn't any thinker of thoughts or feeler of feelings. We get into that bind because we have a grammatical rule that verbs have to have subjects. Now, the funny thing about that is that verbs are processes, and subjects are nouns, which are supposed to be 'things'. How does a noun start a verb? How does the thing put a process into action? Obviously, it can't. However, we always insist that there is this subject called the 'knower', and without the knower, there can't be knowing. Well, that's just a grammatical rule; it isn't a rule of nature. In nature, there's just knowing.
